Project Mexico March 23 - 30, 2025

For over 15 years, Friends Church has Taken Water to families in Tijuana, Mexico by building them their own house. Through Project Mexico, we’ve built over 30 homes for families living in overcrowded spaces or makeshift shelters without doors to lock. From March 23 - 30, a team of 20 people are heading down to Mexico to build another double-wide home that will be occupied by three generations within a family.

A safe home changes everything! It gives families the chance to build a future with dignity and purpose. And it’s not just about the houses—we’ve also helped hundreds within our community realize they are Water Carriers, people who bring positive change to the world around them.

As one of our alumni tattooed on his arm, "Taking Water" isn’t just an idea—it’s a way of life. Even if you can’t pick up a hammer, you can still be part of the mission. A house in this part of Mexico costs only about $7000 to build, nothing compared to building in Calgary. Every dollar donated goes directly to building materials for a family in need.

Will you become a Water Carrier today?
